First, let me start off this page by saying that I very much enjoy getting email and feedback from patrons of this website. In the huge Star Wars Universe, it really does seem that there are so few Dark Apprentice fans out there. But, hey, that's how I felt when I first got the internet and had to scour literally hours to get information on Wedge Antilles. That was before rebelpilots.com. Alone, I set up my fledgling Ready Room page like a dilapidated tradepost on the western lip of the rocky mountains, circa 1860, and waited for the flood of fans.. that took nearly two years to arrive ;) If you want your email address posted so you can hear back from other fans, let me know. Otherwise, I won't post it. Also, I tend to ask permission before I post an actual letter. Fear not, little toaster. The newest stuff is at the top. BTW, if you seek authorization from me on ICQ, be sure to notify me that you came from the Kyp page ;) Otherwise, I'll probably ignore you like that 48 year old Pakistan man named Ringo who floods me with: ASL, ASL? Otherwise? Oh, yeah, I'd love to hear from ya.

I may have already written, to be quite frank I can't remember. All that I can say is that it's about time that someone create a Kyp Durron page and not bash him or laber him as the scum of the galaxy. I'm curious about two things, though. One: What song is playing on the website? It's nice. Two: You mentioned a story about Kyp in Tales of the New Republic - can I have an issue number or approxiamate release date? I'm a huge Kyp fan, so it means a lot to find this comic. Thanks again, and Kyp Durron rules!

The song on the website (or the song that was on the website, I guess I'll have to set up a midi archive now, hehe) is Karma Police by Radiohead. I'm sure there are a million better songs I could have chosen to show case, but this one actually sounded good as a midi and I usually *HATE* midi's. Actually, Karma Police goes well with the Kyp page, the main verse being:

'This is what you get.'

Spoken diabolically and vengefully.

It's very hard finding material on Kyp on the web. Short of that really pornographic erotica fanfic I just stumbled upon *cough*, and a couple of random sites: there was a page where I girl made a list of top 10 reasons why Kyp Durron is better than Luke Skywalker (yes, they mentioned whining) and I hear there's another well done Kyp Durron site out there, but it's written only in Japanese ;)

I'm actually a big fan of Kyp too, I blame it on a lack of observation if you haven't noticed this! I draw him quite a bit, spend a lot of time picking his personality apart on my sad.. lonely little sundays. Firstly, he fascinates me, secondly, I have no life |:)

I figured that any real Kyp fan would be truly interested in that story, 'Simple Tricks' by Chris Cassidy and Tish Pahl, it is a REALLY SUPERB tale, the best Kyp one I've read (leaving the KJA stories aside), it's almost totally him. And I love the Fen character... she's the only SW character I could stomach him having an interest in, but she's about 20 or so years his senior, so... anyway, they make a good duo.

Tales of the New Republic is actually a NOVEL, you can find it on almost any bookstore sci-fi shelf, it showcases shortstories by authors like Zahn *and* Stackpole. Big names and smaller names. But the story I enjoyed the most was 'Simple Tricks' and it was by a smaller time writing duo. Sorry, I don't know about a release date. But it's a common book, in paperback! Go seek it out! Also, if you haven't read Vector Prime, Onslaught or Ruin, I suggest them to you. Kyp plays a pretty decisive role in most of those. They're recent books, so I don't have so much info on them, except I know they're in paperback.

However, if you want to read Leviathan (that's the comic), I'm sure you can order it from 'Things From Another World', the story is now in paperback, curtosy of Darkhorse Comics. Seek them out. They're on the web, and they offer reasonable prices! I get all my rare Grendel (Biukovic art, he did some great Star Wars stuffage) from there.

So I guess you hadn't seen real pics of Kyp since you visited my page? What'd you think? Have you seen the cover to Leviathan #2? Augh! It's awesome.

Email anytime! Yes, Kyp does rule. Over all puny Jedi, lol!

i don't really understand the fascination with kyp durron but i love him i just wish there was more art work of him. i wonder if him and jaina solo are gonna get together? hhhmmm........we shall see, i suppose. right me back.

-Emily

Hello Emily, regards to all Kyp fans, the few and far between. I hope you're pleased with the art gallery now, there's a lot more art up by me and Mette Krangnes than when I last wrote you.

What are my opinions on Jaina. *blinkblink* I wouldn't worry about Jaina though... even over-riding the romanticized 'age aint nuttin but a number' principle (Kyp and Jaina are yeeEEaaars apart, scratches chin) I just have a feeling that she has a more different destiny on the horizon. But I'm no author, I guess we'll have to wait and see ;)

Hi, your probally going to think this is really weird that I'm writing you since I don't know you or anything. But how old is Kyp Durron? Do you know? I would really appreciate it if you told me cause I have no idea!

-Laughing girl

Not a dumb question at all, actually.

Kevin J. Anderson states in the Jedi Academy Trilogy that Kyp Durron was 8 when he was sent into the prison, and stayed in there 10 years. So, he is 18. However, Michael Stackpole (being the lovable goober that he is) writes Kyp as 16.

When Kyp shows up in the New Jedi Order, he is in his 30's.
